Sensory Bin for St. Patrick’s Day!

Sensory Bin for St. Patrick’s Day!

Sensory bins are a great way to engage young kids in hands-on, open-ended play and a St. Patrick’s Day-themed bin is the perfect way to bring some lucky magic into their day!

What You’ll Need

  • A large plastic bin
  • Green pom-poms and beads
  • Rainbow-dyed pasta (mix pasta with vinegar and food coloring, then let it dry!)
  • A mini cauldron (for the pot of gold, of course!)
  • Plastic gold coins
  • Shamrock or four-leaf clover stickers

How to Set It Up

1. Fill your bin with the green and rainbow-colored items.

2. Add scoops, tongs, or small cups for kids to mix, pour, and explore.

3. Hide gold coins inside the sensory bin and let kids explore and dig for treasure.

Ways to Play

  • Create a treasure hunt by challenging kids to find all the coins.
  • Have them sort objects by color, shape, or texture.
  • Use the sensory bin as part of a leprechaun trap setup for even more
