Candles with pink bows using wikki stix for Valentine’s Day

Easy Valentine’s Day Craft: Love Bows for Candles

Looking for a simple, mess-free Valentine’s Day craft to do with your little ones? These Wikki Stix Bows on candlesticks are the perfect way to add a festive touch to your home without glue, tape, or any sticky mess! Wikki Stix are bendable, wax-coated sticks that adhere to surfaces with just a little pressure, making them an easy, kid-friendly material for decorating.

What You’ll Need:

  1. Wikki Stix in Valentine’s colors (reds, pinks, whites)
  2. Candlesticks (glass, ceramic, or metal work best)
  3. Optional: Battery-operated taper candles

How to Make Wikki Stix Bows:

1. Create the Bow Shape: Take one Wikki Stix and form a small loop on each end, pressing in the center to create a bow shape. (Check out our instagram for our step-by-step reel)

2. Add a Knot Detail: Wrap a short piece of Wikki Stix around the middle of the bow for a more finished look but totally not necessary - we didn’t in our reel.

3. Attach to the Candlesticks: Simply press the bow onto the candlestick, and it will stick in place! If you want extra flair, you can also wrap additional Wikki Stix around the base or spiral them around the candle.

Why We Love This Craft:

  • No Glue, No Mess: Wikki Stix stick with just a press and peel right off when you’re ready to change things up.
  • Perfect for Kids: Great for little hands to practice fine motor skills AND they can be creative in their own way - Hadley loved to make blue bows which turned out SUPER cute!
  • Festive & Fun: Adds an easy Valentine’s Day touch to your dinner table or mantle.

This craft is so simple and fun that kids will want to decorate all the candles in the house! Plus, when Valentine’s Day is over, you can remove the Wikki Stix without any damage.
