A Magical Morning at The Good Witch Tea Party in Salem

There’s something about October in New England that just feels enchanted. Between the changing leaves, cozy sweaters - even though this weekend felt more like summer! - and that hint of Halloween magic in the air — it’s the perfect time for a little wonder. This weekend, we got to experience it firsthand at The Good Witch Tea Party at the historic Hawthorne Hotel in Salem, Massachusetts.

The event was absolutely magical from start to finish — cotton candy treats, a brunch for the whole family, a dance party with a DJ, make-your-own teapot crafts, storytime, and even a meet-and-greet with The Good Witch herself. About fifty little witches and wizards filled the ballroom with excitement and laughter. Nicky was the only boy there, but he dove right in — crafting, dancing, and soaking up every bit of the fun.

What we loved most was that it was all screen-free fun — hands-on, imaginative, and filled with creativity. From painting and glittering their teapots to listening to stories that sparked kindness and curiosity, it was everything we love about childhood magic.

It’s days like these that remind us why we created Buggy Box Co. in the first place — to help families find simple, creative ways to connect, play, and make memories together.

If you’re local (or planning a trip to Salem this spooky season!), we highly recommend checking out The Good Witch and her charming shop. It’s the perfect place to sprinkle a little magic into your October. 🧙♀️🎃💫
